CHALLENGE RULES: 1. Make a track at least 30 seconds long, using the included instructions as a guide. 2. You must use ONLY the provided samples in the DOWNLOAD. 3. Have fun and UPLOAD your track. If possible upload a screen shot of some or all of your settings under DAW IMAGE. Metapop Filtering & EQ Challenge In this challenge you will be provided full-spectrum Kick, Snare, Hat, Bass and Key loops, with EQ Three plugins on each channel. Use eq, highpass and lowpass filtering to thin the parts out and create space so the resulting mix sounds musical. For example, you may want to remove excess lows in the keys and hats and excess highs in the kick and bass. To create even more space you can use compressors, transient designers and chopping/fading out excess audio to make sure no two parts occupy the same sonic space. Out of the box your Ableton session should sound like the included file “EQ/Filter Challenge BEFORE MIX.wav”. See if you can make it sound like “EQ/Filter Challenge AFTER MIX.wav”, or better!
